Creative EducatorMy Journey
Greetings! This is my "Hello World!" project.
With a career spanning over two decades in education, I have cultivated a rich and diverse professional journey. Beginning in 2002, I dedicated the first two decades to the public K-12 education sector, shaping young minds and fostering a passion for learning. In 2022, I embarked on a new chapter by transitioning into higher education, expanding my impact on the academic landscape.
My adventure into educational technology began in 2008 when I launched my first teacher website using Macromedia Flash (before Adobe acquired it). This marked the inception of my commitment to leveraging technology for enhanced learning experiences. Embracing Moodle 1.9 and Joomla, I integrated a learning management system to provide accessible resources for my students. Concurrently, I ventured into podcasting, creating an innovative platform that empowered students to engage with educational content anytime, anywhere.
Stepping into an administrative role as an Educational Technology Specialist, I spent five years delving into tools such as Google Workspace, GoGuardian, and ClassLink. This phase not only honed my technical expertise but also allowed me to contribute significantly to the Monmouth County Curriculum Consortium. As the technology consultant, I spearheaded a comprehensive overhaul of their web presence, adopting a modern JAM stack architecture and ensuring seamless technology integration into the educational framework. My commitment to educational innovation and technological advancement continues to be the driving force behind my professional journey.
